CAMARILLO (CBSLA.com) — An associate principal at Camarillo High School was free on bond Thursday following his arrest on molestation charges.

Felix “David” Gallegos, 41, was arrested and charged Wednesday with four misdemeanor counts of child molestation and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery.

He is accused of inappropriately touching two female victims – an adult staff member and a juvenile student — on campus, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told KNX 1070.

Both females were unaware the other had been victimized until the crimes were reported to school officials on May 20.

The school immediately placed Gallegos on paid administrative leave and reported the assaults to Camarillo police. Gallegos had been employed with the Oxnard Union High School District for seven years.

Details surrounding the crimes were not released.

Gallegos posted $30,000 bond at 3 a.m. Thursday morning and is not scheduled to be arraigned until August 28.

Detectives believe their could be more victims.
